Ojek and Go-Jek. Which one is better?

OJEK VS THE "UPGRADED" ONE
Do you realize that a team and a group are actually very different? For example Go-Jek, the most booming online ojek which often be used by Indonesians, especially around Jakarta. Some people rarely use a car if they go to work, because they want to avoid the traffic jam in Jakarta itself, aren’t they? Nowadays, they prefer to choose motorcycle, because it is more efficient to go anywhere, especially in a narrow street. That’s why there are many emerging motor transportationsz, particularly Go-Jek. However, there had been a clash between the Go-Jek with ordinary Ojek a few months ago. But, the perceived customer satisfaction which determines which vehicle more consumers need. Well, on this occasion we will discuss some of the things that distinguish between Go-Jek with ordinary Ojek, based on the information that has been compiling are:

With all of the Go-Jek’s pros that they give to you, maybe you will think “then why the ordinary ojek is still exist, right?” However, not every ojek drivers want to move to Go-Jek, because they think Go-Jek is too difficult, and some of them don’t understand the current level of technology. Moreover, they already have a gang at their base, so if they move to Go-Jek then they will be separated away. That’s why they prefer to gather as a family. Go-Jek also has some disadvantages, especially for people who don’t understand the technology, because they need internet to be connected.

Based on the interview with Mr. Manto (48) who has become an Ojek driver in Cikarang since 7 years ago to support his two children, he works from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. His base camp is in front of President University and also near Pasimal. Before he became an Ojek driver, he worked in one of the manufactories in Cikarang, but he decided to resign because of some problems. Fortunately, his friends encouraged him to work as an ojek driver and he works until now.
However, his income is unable to cover his children’s tuition fee because of Go-Jek. This new innovation gradually reduces their working field. Their incomes were originally 120.000/ day and now reduced to 80.000/ day. They found Go-Jek was illegal because they can set the prices as they please. Also, Go-Jek drivers are just a freelancer, but they get the salary more than them. When we asked why he doesn’t want to move to Go-Jek, they state because of their prestige and their age is too old, they are also loyal to their work, especially to their friends. So as we can see, a team can defeat a group. In this case, Go-jek is a team which works together in order to achieve common goal, hence they also share responsibility. Meanwhile Ojek is a group which works individually to achieve individual goal.

Today, the ordinary ojek customers have started to decrease. They prefer to use the services of Go-Jek because it’s more practical, efficient, and safer. However, some remain loyal customer’s still use ordinary ojek, especially customers who do not understand technology. Admin itself don’t know must to choose which one, because one want to keep their traditional, and the others want to keep survive by doing innovation. Each of them has their advantages and disadvantages. The competitor will always come, no matter how you prevent it. Helen Keller once said “alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”. This proves that the one who can work as a team will possibly win the competition. However, in the end it all depends on the customer's choice, they determine the satisfaction by themselves. The drivers only provide the best of them. Well, who do you think is the best?
