The story of Reiner Rahardja

 

“How to turn your sh*t into gold.” That’s what he said. His name is Reiner Bonifasius Rahardja. Most of people call him as Reiner. He was born on 13th July 1988 in Jakarta. Born in the middle-low family did not make Reiner desperate, but make him to be more successful in business life until now. Before becoming a figure of young entrepreneur, he was attending the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. At that time, he never attends his class because he was working to pay for his university fee. Reiner had worked at three companies at once and generates more than 25 million per month at the age of 20. Reiner finally made an agreement with his faculty’s dean, so he could still graduate without attending his classes. The faculty’s dean agreed, but Reiner should get the GPA of 6.7 out of 7 each semester and should attend his tests. Reiner also stopped to work for a month to finish his thesis. He succeeds in fulfilling all of the conditions and finally graduated with only two and half years of study.

Now, Reiner has helped many young entrepreneurs to accelerate their business by teach them many businesses’ techniques that are useful. Because of his never-ending motivation, experiences, and extensive network, Reiner was finally able to start a company in 2008. Reiner is the founder and executive director of Accelerator, PT. Reitech Solusindo (general trading), and PT. Reitech International (electronic and electrical). He is also the president of PT. Nanohair Indonesia (beauty care). Because of his achievements, he becomes one of the top five Indonesian young entrepreneurs under the age of 40. A great performance as a businessman in that age that is very young. The organization of Mr. Reiner, The Accelerator is a place for the young businessman to start up their business. Accelerator help people to get their dream to be a great entrepreneur.

As a business person, he said that to be a great businessman, you also have to be a great leader to lead the business. Not all of the businessmen have a character of leadership. There are many companies that get bankruptcy. One of the factors of the bankruptcy because the company does not lead by the manager or chief that have great power of leadership. Sometimes, we think to be a leader is easy, but Mr. Reiner declines it. “Do you think to be a businessman with a great character like a leadership is easy? No it doesn’t, it is very difficult to lead the company” he said. There are many factors to become a great leader:

  • Hasty is prohibited

Leaders should not hasty or rush when make a decision. They must consider all the possibilities of their action. They must be careful in any condition and calculate all the risks that must be taken. The future of the company or business is on their decisions.

  • Great attitude

Attitude is the settle

d way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior. Leadership is connected with the attitude. “From the great attitude, the leadership appear” he said.

  • Destined to try

Leaders are destined to try all things. They must try to relate the situation with condition to solve the problem. Work hard and try hard make the leader get the ability of brainstorming. Brainstorming is produce an idea or way of solving a problem by holding a spontaneous group discussion. Leader should try and make a decision in any problem in front of them.

  • Hope for everyone

“We should be the light around the darkness” he said. What is the meaning of that? Leader is like the light that shine around to lead the team reach their goals. But in the journey, there must be a problem that we must face. Problem is like the darkness that always bother us. How dark is the darkness, our light should be more powerful than darkness. We should be a hope for everyone around us.

  • What should we give to them?

People believe to their leader. They will obey what the leader said. But, people want something and as a leader we should give what they need, not what they want. Leader should be sensitive to people. They must protect people and keep their determination. Leader must build a great team to reach their goals.
